A special speaker has been added from the NAACP to talk about:  "Where Do We Stand?" 

It centers around the resurgence of racism, civil rights violations, and corruption found in the most unlikeliest of places, and where we as individuals and groups, stand on these issues.

 Meeting Topics
 

At this month's DAA meeting on the eve of the California Democratic Convention, Erika Jones, a teacher in Los Angeles and a representative to the state council of the California Teachers Association (CTA) will talk to us about California's budget crisis and how the budget crisis affects students and teachers throughout the state. Erika will also talk about how the California Teachers Association is fighting to keep education a priority of the budget and how we can get involved.

  • We will also talk about the upcoming State Democratic Convention and have a roundtable to discuss future meeting topics.
